“Above human reach, where only spirits can fly, stars glitter in the darkness, far higher than this mortal plane, transcending this confusion: lights born out of incredible love and creation between us.” Michele Angelo Petrone

Sobell Day Hospice seeks to provide a space to nurture and care for all the individuals who pass through the doors. Care is provided by a team of nurses, doctors, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, chaplain, therapists and volunteers.

Working together in partnership with patients, families and carers the team seeks to:
• Create an environment where everyone may feel safe and able to freely express themselves.
• Focus on the quality of life for each person so promoting, physical, psychological, social and spiritual well being.
• Support each patient, providing effective symptom control, to help enable them to live as independently as possible.
• Provide ongoing information and explanation to both patients and carers as the patient’s disease progresses to empower them to make informed choices.
• Offer a range of creative activities and complementary therapies.
• Give a time of respite to families and carers.
