Sir Michael Sobell House, Oxford is an adult specialist palliative care service for people with a life threatening illness. Our multi-professional team is supported by volunteers.

The work of Sir Michael Sobell House is supported by Sobell Hospice Charity. The new patient wing was opened in 2003 following a major fundraising effort by the charity.

Patient services are enhanced by a dedicated education and research facility. Our Study Centre supports training for in-house staff and to others working in palliative care nationally and internationally. Sir Michael Sobell House is World Heath Organisation Collaborating Centre for Palliative Care.
